another box lid side done !!

Woopieeee!!  have now completed a second box lid side on the Victoria Sampler Winter Box - two more to go !

Winter Box update

After finishing the box lid top- I then had the four box lid sides to do - not too keen as they are stitched one over one and my old eyes can't take that anymore  lol    ....   but decided to do them slowly, and I managed to do one side today - one down - three to go !

Trying some jewellery making

I have been getting quite addicted to beads and decided to do something else with them apart from just using in cross stitch....  so I decided to have a go at jewellery making ....  not very good yet, but here are a few of the things I tried out for friends and family ...



This is a silver and turquoise bracelet for a friend



 This is a set of necklace, bracelet and ear-rings made for myself with real coral beads and sterling silver bits!


This was made for my DIL with real turquioise beads, glass beads and sterling silver beads



VS Winter Box

Well this is the result of a few days stitching - started on the first day of the New Year - I have now finished the top of the box lid - a beautiful design from Thea Deuck of Victoria Sampler ....  it has been stitched on 28 count raw cashel linen and I have used a Gloriana hand dyed thread together with Needlepoint silks ....

A new year and a new start

To all bloggers out there - a happy new year one and all ....  I have started the year with a new project - the beautiful Winter Box by Victoria Sampler and managed the first stitches this morning - yep ! up early  lol
